The cabin of the new Mazda6 features a TFT LCD colour dial set on GT Sport Nav+ models, while across the entire range the new Active Driving Display system now projects information directly onto the windscreen. The updated Mazda6 also features a larger eight-inch centre display screen. This is accessed using the Multimedia Commander with separate volume dial for intuitive interactivity and infotainment control.

The Mazda6 Tourer features a vast load bay that expands from 522-litres with the rear seats in place to a cavernous 1,664-litres with the split rear seats folded flat. The Tourer’s Karakuri 60:40 split rear seats fold into a flexible flat cargo area, a simple procedure using either the levers located on each side of the boot or the standard release buttons on the seatbacks themselves. The Mazda6 Saloon has a 480-litre boot.

Exclusive to the flagship GT Sport Nav+, the updated Mazda6 features Mazda’s newly available high-class interior package, which includes Nappa leather, front seat ventilation, rear heated seats and real Japanese Sen Wood trim. It also benefits from seat heating for the outer seats in the back, while a frameless auto-dimming rear view mirror is another example of the premium cabin features in this range-topping model.

Cabin Comfort

The instrument panel and door trim designs have been refined with the height of the centre and side ventilation louvres matched to enhance the lateral flow of the instrument panel. A new storage compartment beneath the rear centre armrest features a pair of USB ports that let occupants charge portable devices. The new front and rear seat designs feature thicker padding and wider cushions, and the increased use of leather and fabric, combining improved comfort with the quality befitting a flagship model.

All new Mazda6 models from SE-L Lux Nav+ onwards feature leather seats, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, plus front seat power adjustment, while the driver’s seat has a memory function, which includes a link to the windscreen projected Active Driving Display.
