Interior

Driver focused interior

The Mazda CX-30’s cockpit is symmetrical and firmly centred on the driver, with all three dials in the instrument cluster and the centre display correctly angled towards the driving position for optimum visibility and ease of operation with minimum distraction. The upper area of the dashboard features a secondary, wing-shaped hood. Running horizontally from the top of the dials into the door trim on the passenger side and finished with high quality stitching and metallic accents, it gives the cockpit a more expansive feel.

Interior colour schemes practicality

Complementing the high-class cabin design and driver focused ergonomics, the Mazda CX-30 is offered in three interior colour schemes depending on model grade. Premium dark grey cloth with black interior accents is standard on Prime-Line, Centre-Line and Exclusive-Line cars. Step up to Homura and you get premium black cloth with red stitching, while in Takumi models you’ll find black leather with rich brown interior accents.

Practicality

The CX-30’s generous distance of 740mm between the front seats is 50mm greater than in the previous Mazda CX-3, and on par with that of the Mazda CX-5. The spacing of the front seats allows for a wide floor console and a large centre armrest. Equally spacious rear seat separation facilitates wide rear centre armrest and door armrests, allowing rear seat occupants to enjoy a comfortable, relaxed seating. Luggage capacity is a generous 430 litres, enough to simultaneously accommodate a large, global-standard baby buggy and a carry-on bag. Tailgate opening width is 1,030mm, while the height of the loading lip is just 731mm, for easy loading and unloading of heavy or bulky cargo. From Exclusive-Line onwards, a power-operated tailgate features one-touch opening and closing for even more convenience.

Mazda Connect

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 features the very latest version of Mazda Connect, which combines a 10.25-inch colour centre screen controlled by the centrally mounted Multimedia Commander. This allows for easy control of all infotainment, navigation, settings and connectivity applications, and features significantly improved safety and user-friendliness. For instance, greater hardware processing ability and optimised software reduce the boot-up time for the infotainment screen by half. Features such as the navigation system are ready for use almost instantaneously after the ignition is turned on. Image and sound quality have also been greatly improved by digitalising signal transmissions from the camera and audio system.

Standard equipment

All CX-30s feature wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM, plus a colour windscreen projected Active Driving Display (Head-Up Display) which now supports Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM and a colour 8-inch TFT display binnacle as standard. New for 2024, all CX-30s feature USB Type-C charging ports. From Centre-Line onwards the high-end equipment tally includes heated seats, while the range-topping Takumi model feature a powered driver’s seat and heated steering wheel. However unlike some rivals, a quick look at the standard equipment tally reveals that the vast majority of interior luxury and practicality equipment is standard across the range. Even Mazda Radar Cruise Control is standard on every CX-30.

Audio

The CX-30’s standard 8 speaker audio system has the lower bass speakers in the front cowl sides where low-frequency sound is better reproduced, resulting in a more clearly audible lower register. 2.5cm tweeters and 8cm midrange units have been positioned on the left and right sail garnish, and on the upper section of the front and rear door trim respectively, where the sound is transmitted directly towards the occupant’s ears, un-muddied by reflected sounds. This more powerfully and naturally locates the sound’s origin, enhancing both depth and clarity. Exclusive-Line and Takumi cars feature a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system that is hallmarked by deeper, more impactful sound.

Digital Owner’s Manual

Mazda Connect includes a Digital Owner’s Manual for easy access to valuable information. Users can check and search the various functions of the Mazda CX-30 or quickly confirm any messages that pop up on the centre display. The app’s functionality is directly linked to the car’s status outputs, including instrument cluster warning lamps. The severity of the situation and other pertinent information appear on the centre display as soon as a warning lamp lights up. An indication of the priority level is given along with a link to the Digital Owner’s Manual, which provides explanations and instructions on how best to respond.

Connectivity

The Mazda CX-30 features enhanced connectivity with Connected Services. Accessed via the MyMazda app, numerous convenience and peace of mind functions include the following: vehicle finder, remote door locking and vehicle door open alert, Navigation destination search and send to vehicle, Vehicle Health Report, Roadside Assistance and Security Alert. The app also shows the vehicle's service history, and when the next service is due. Customers can directly schedule the next service and send a service request to the chosen Mazda dealership.
