Cabin

With an interior design that incorporates the ‘less is more’ ideal of Mazda’s Kodo – Soul of Motion exterior design philosophy, the Mazda3’s cockpit is laid out in perfectly horizontal symmetry centred on the driver. High-grade materials and first-class build quality abound across the range, updates for the 2024 Mazda3 include matt black steering wheel buttons with white characters for easier recognition.

Equipment

Takumi versions of the 2024 Mazda3 feature black leather seats, while the driver’s seat features power adjustment and memory function linked to the Active Driving Display and door mirror. You also get high-end items like the 12-speaker Bose surround sound system. Manual air-conditioning is standard on Prime-Line entry model, while from Centre-Line onwards dual-zone climate control is included, as are heated seats. Takumi cars have a heated steering wheel and on e-Skyactiv X hatchbacks there’s the cost free option to go for Burgundy leather as an alternative to black leather.

Infotainment

All versions of the 2024 Mazda3 feature a 7-inch TFT colour instrument display combined with a new larger 10.25-inch central display screen with Mazda Connect infotainment. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range, while the Multimedia Commander makes operation of the infotainment system easy, while the 2024 Mazda3 now features two Type-C USB inputs and Qi Wireless charging. The standard six speaker audio system delivers class-leading sound quality, while Exclusive-Line and Takumi models feature Bose audio.

Stand out technology as standard

Standout technology is a feature across the range, every model in the 2024 Mazda3 line-up features Mazda’s windscreen projected colour head-up display. This Active Driving Display features Traffic Sign Recognition. Equally useful is the Mazda Radar Cruise Control, which also features on every car in the range. On models with an automatic gearbox the stop and go function allows the car to come to a complete stop and move off again in crawling traffic.

Practicality

When it comes to practicality all versions of the 2024 Mazda3 feature 60:40 split rear seats. The boot of the Mazda3 hatchback delivers 351 litres of luggage space or 358 litres if you include the additional space under the boot floor. Fold the rear seats flat and load to the roof and this practical hatchback has a 1,026-litre carry space, while maximum load length increases from 838mm to 1,366mm. The Mazda3 Saloon has a useful 444-litre load space. 

Navigation

The navigation system in the Mazda3 features a 3D gyro sensor with optimised control logic that calculates car position even when there’s no GPS signal. Additionally, the quality and draw up speed of the mapping has improved, while the new search functionality has also been enhanced. While wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allows for the easy use of smart phone online navigation applications, which on the 2024 Mazda3 are now supported and displayed within the head-up display.

Connectivity

The 2024 Mazda3 features enhanced connectivity with Connected Services. Accessed via the MyMazda app, numerous convenience and peace of mind functions include the following: vehicle finder, remote door locking and vehicle door open alert, Navigation destination search and send to vehicle, Vehicle Health Report, Roadside Assistance and Security Alert. The app also shows the vehicle's service history, and when the next service is due. Customers can directly schedule the next service and send a service request to the chosen Mazda dealership.
