The Mazda CX-6e’s driver-centric dynamics are complemented by a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance technologies: Smart Brake Support (Front), Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB), Lane Keeping Assist System (LAS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) with Blind Spot Assist, Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA), Speed Limit Assistant, Secondary Collision Reduction, Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) including Blind Spot Prevention (BSP), and Door Opening Warning (DOW) are all fitted as standard to all models in the Mazda CX-6e range.

In keeping with its family transport role in European markets, all models of the CX-6e feature Child Presence Detection (CPD), which uses Mazda’s interior camera to detect children in the rear seats and project them on the centre display. When leaving the car, a warning sound ensures that young children do not accidentally remain in the car unattended. Nine airbags – including front driver and passenger airbags, a far-side airbag between the front seats, front and rear side airbags, and curtain airbags – are standard across the line-up. High-definition megapixel cameras, millimetre-wave radar and ultrasonic radars all work seamlessly together to monitor the car’s environment enhancing the driver’s external vision and awareness of their surroundings.

Via the settings menu on the central screen drivers can select to turn off active safety programmes if road conditions demand, while on many systems there’s the option to personalise intervention timings between early, normal or late, while warning types can be tuned on apposite systems, ensuring drivers can tailor their active safety support to their preference.

When chosen as a dealer-fit accessory, the Mazda CX-6e can be fitted with a fully retractable towbar and the electric SUV has a 1,500kg braked towing capacity. When used the Mazda CX-6e provides confident and composed safe towing ability.
